Facial Oils

Coconut Oil is King. Er…Queen. We know this. We also know some of y’all are sick of hearing about coconut oil. You never liked it. You don’t get the appeal. And so this post is dedicated to you. While YES, I’m all about Queen CO, there are sooooo many other good facial oils out there. Bookmark this and then thank me later.

At the top of my list will always be Darshana Natural Indian Hair Oil. Yes, technically it’s NOT a facial oil but EB slathers this all over her skin and she’s left glowing, not greasy and smells SO good. I know it has Orange Essential Oil in it and that’s not ideal for skin but we use it sparingly.

Argan Oil is by far my favorite oil hands down. Shea Moisture’s Argan Oil version of it even trumps coconut oil, which you know is saying a lot. A few drops of these in my sleep cream leaves me with incredibly soft skin in the morning.

Sweet Almond Oil has been a staple in my life for yearssss. A little bit goes a long way and it makes for the perfect carrier oil for whipping up other oils. I love how light it feels on the skin.

If you know nothing about me, you know my newest brand obsession is Acure. Their Organic Rosehip Oil is absolutely wonderful. This is a silky and luxurious oil that sinks into skin, smells faintly floral and does a really nice job at tackling my dry skin.

Tarte’s Maracja Oil in the travel size gets so much love from me. We keep this oil in the car to slather on my babies’ dry patches should they pop up on their arms and legs. Yes, it works great for the face too but I find so much use for it all over the body, too.

Facial Oils

I love CoverFX a great deal but they did not do a good job at really explaining what their Custom Infusion Drops do. And if they were actually needed. I ended up getting a sample of some and WOW…mind blown. I use few either in my sunscreen or moisturizer and they not only smell good but do a great job at boosting my already effective creams and moisturizers.

While not intended to be spread ALL over the face (and it’s not even for all skin types so please…use your best judgment), I find Tea Tree Oil to be wonderful for busting a pimple or two. When it doubt, I’d use this with Sweet Almond Oil.

When cooler weather starts really getting into my skin, I need an oil that is EFFECTIVE. Paula’s Choice Moisture Renewal Oil Booster is IT. It’s thick and non-greasy but when I combine this with my moisturizer, this stuff is able to combat even my driest spots.

Jojoba Oil has been a staple for me for many years. A bottle resides in my travel bag and I tend to use it more during the cooler months and I love slathering it all over my skin at night.

BONUS

SUNDAY RILEY Luna Sleeping Night Oil is considered a “bonus” because I haven’t actually tried this so I can’t review it properly but giiiiiirl, I NEED to give this a whirl. For over $100, I’m not sure it’ll ever happen (my skin is worth it but my goodness…) due to the cost but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about it. One day, y’all. One day.
